Porcelain Tiles
Can be used almost anywhere from external patios, driveways & walls to kitchen & bathroom wall & floors. Porcelain tiles are extremely hardwearing & versatile and are the perfect material to update your internal or external spaces.
Porcelain is a material manufactured from natural refined materials and fired at approx 1200 degrees. This process removes almost all of the moisture within the tile providing an extremely hardwearing, durable body also sometimes known as vitrification. Due to this process porcelain tiles can be used on internal floors & walls across any room, porcelain tiles can also be used externally for wall cladding, driveways, patios.
It is material with almost zero limitations.

Porcelain Tiles For Inside Use
Porcelain tiles are a perfect wall and floor covering for kitchens & bathrooms, hallway and even living and bedrooms. The main thing to consider is because it is very dense porcelain can be a little harder to drill and cut than ceramic tile, but with the right equipment then this is not an obstacle for any professional or DIY enthusiast.
Of course you may want to consider that when using porcelain tiles for a floor or wall they are usually slimmer with a thickness of 6-10mm this does not detract anything from the quality of material it simply makes the product lightweight, easier to handle and more functional to use on indoor spaces. you may also wish to consider the room and usage for example polished porcelain is a beautiful material for indoor use but it may be more beneficial to use on walls and consider a matt anti slip finish porcelain for areas such as bathroom floors.

Porcelain Tiles For Outside Use
The popularity of using porcelain in external spaces has grown over recent years and it is not hard to understand why porcelain is the perfect material for outdoor and indoor use:
- Almost Zero Water Absorption
- Frost Proof
- Stain & Acid Resistant
- Fade Resistant
- Anti Slip
- Perfect Natural Material Replications
- Eco Friendly
- Durable & Hardwearing
Porcelain can be used on almost any space indoors or outdoors. When considering out door use you may wish to consider the following;
Polished porcelain should never be used on a external floor always use use porcelain that has a natural finish and a slip rating of PTV36+ or R11.
You can use 10mm thickness Matt Finish, Anti Slip Porcelain Tiles on a external floor as long as they are fixed onto a fully cured concrete base and again if it is anti slip rated.
20mm thick Porcelain tiles are manufactured to add strength and durability on external patios or projects and these products can be installed using a traditional mortar installation (just like any other paving stones) or on a. solid concrete base the choices is yours.
Using Porcelain Tiles as cladding is also a fantastic idea when combined with porcelain patio tiles to create those seamless indoor / outdoor spaces, and its simply tiling outside, you may need to consider a couple things such as using the correct adhesive and ensuring that it is free from moisture pre installation.

Summary
Porcelain tiles have almost endless limitations when considering materials for your next internal or external project. Porcelain tiles have many benefits from design aesthetics to functionality the main consideration is simply using the right finish on the correct surface e.g anti-slip porcelain on external floors.
